Frantoi Cutrera is a name that evokes tradition and passion for olive farming. Founded in 1979 by Giovanni Cutrera, the company has its roots in the picturesque territory of Chiaramonte Gulfi, in Sicily. Today, it is run by his children Maria, Giusy, and Salvatore, who opened a second mill in 1999.
With over 150 hectares of olive groves in the Monti Iblei area, the company produces high-quality extra virgin olive oil. The harvest is done by hand, following methods passed down from generation to generation.
In addition to oil, Frantoi Cutrera has expanded its catalogue to include preserves and jams, prepared with locally sourced and selected ingredients. All products are created in a modern canning facility spanning 1,000 square meters, using cutting-edge technology that maintains the quality of the raw materials.
The company has been a pioneer in developing new technologies for oil extraction. It collaborates with Pieralisi, a leader in the construction of oil machinery, to create one of the most technologically advanced mills in the world.
Frantoi Cutrera is also committed to environmental sustainability. It uses renewable energy sources and recycles by-products from processing as biofuel and fertiliser.
