This wildflower honey, produced by the Sicilian black bee, a Slow Food presidium, stands out for its light and pleasant taste and for its light color with golden shades. Produced between spring and mid-autumn thanks to the rich biodiversity of the Madonie Park territory, rich in small wildflowers and orchids, Bergi’s honey has peculiar characteristics that led it to win awards at the international BiolMiel competition. Its taste, although with variations from year to year, always maintains the basis of a typical Madonie flavor, characterized by a great botanical biodiversity.

Bergi farm is located in Castelbuono, in the heart of the Madonie Park. Family management and totally organic farming practices, certified by Soil and Health, characterize the company that extends over about 100 hectares of land. The four sisters who run it, each with her own role and professionalism, work with passion, dedication, and respect for the environment and biodiversity. The company focuses on the production of excellent Sicilian products such as honey, EVO oil, manna and traditional preserves. The company works with the Sicilian Apis mellifera and is one of the producers of honey of sicilian black bee, Slow Food Presidium, thanks to its adherence to the “Project for the reintroduction and conservation of the endangered subspecies Apis mellifera siciliana”. In this way, the Bergi Agricultural Company contributes not only to the production of high-quality honey but also to the conservation of biodiversity and respect for the environment.
