The Cuddrireddi are typical Sicilian biscuits made in Delia (Caltanisetta). Prepared for the Carnival celebrations, it is said that their crown shape is dedicated to the "castellane" who lived in the fortress overlooking the village of Delia. They are an excellent variant of biscuits for breakfast or snack time.

Cuddrireddri biscuits – Slow food, artisanal
Cuddrireddi biscuits are made from simple ingredients: sugar, flour, eggs, wine, cinnamon, and orange peel. Handmade following the old method from the civilization’s peasant, the Cuddrireddi are fried in extra virgin olive oil. Enjoy them in the company for an after-dinner snack, or alone for breakfast.
