Chiarandà – Contessa Entellina DOC

The Chiarandà wine, produced by the historic Donnafugata winery, is a tribute to Sicilian wine tradition and the passion of the Rallo family. This Chardonnay wine is produced in vineyards located in the southwestern part of Sicily, in an ideal position to ensure a perfect ripening of the bunches.

The wine has a straw-yellow color with brilliant reflections and a complex and intense bouquet of aromas, reminiscent of citrus fruits, lemon, ginger, broom floral notes, and toasted hazelnut. In the mouth, it is structured, broad, and pleasant, with a savory and mineral finish that balances the structure and stimulates one glass after another.

Regarding vinification, after careful manual harvesting, alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel. The aging continues for 8 months on the noble lees, partly in oak and partly in cement tanks, to conclude with a rest in the bottle of 12 months.
