Caltanissetta classic nougat – Artisanal product
Torrone Geraci is the typical nougat from Caltanissetta. It is made with traditional ingredients: sugar, honey, almonds and pistachios. Cooked over a low heat for a few hours, the sweet mixture is poured onto the looms, then cut and sealed so that the mixture does not catch air. Stored in tins and away from humidity, this nougat, free of preservatives, can be kept in the larder for months and eaten after a long time. A small Sicilian masterpiece, with all the smells and flavours handed down from the Arab tradition during the domination of the island. try it!
