Grappa Ben Ryè – From Passito di Pantelleria
Donnafugata’s Ben Ryè grappa is a distillate of excellence, born from the desire for experimentation of one of the most respected wineries in Italy. The Zibibbo pomace, coming from the production of the famous Passito di Pantelleria, is distilled in a discontinuous bain-marie still. Subsequently, the grappa matures for 12 months in small oak barrels, softening its profile and acquiring significant aromatic complexity.
In the glass, it appears with a golden, brilliant and luminous colour. The aromas are intense and complex, with notes of candied citrus peel, raisins, dehydrated apricot, cedar, tropical fruit, spices and vanilla. The sip is enticing, warm and harmonious, with a long and persistent finish. The alcohol content is 42%.
