Produced exclusively from the nectar of acacia (Robinia) flowers, Melauro acacia honey is among the finest and best-loved in Italy. This organic monofloral honey is characterised by a transparent colour with slight amber hues, a very delicate fragrance and a smooth, pleasantly sweet flavour with no strong or persistent aromas. Rich in fructose, it retains a liquid and fluid consistency over time, with limited crystallisation.

Its delicacy makes it particularly popular with children. It can replace sugar in hot drinks and cake recipes, and is delicious in combination with ham or dried fruits such as almonds, walnuts, pistachios or hazelnuts.

The organic company Melauro was founded in Sicily in 1996 by brothers Aldo and Antonio La Ferrera. Starting out as an amateur activity, Melauro has become a point of reference in professional beekeeping, specialising in the artisanal production and processing of high quality bee products.

Melauro’s commitment is manifested in the rigorous choice of organic raw materials, harvested far from any source of pollution. All production phases, from extraction to packaging, take place at low temperatures to preserve enzymes and nutritional values.
