Made by La Legumeria, the Modica Cottoia Fava bean is a product of excellence controlled by the Slow Food Presidium, which regulates its production to guarantee its quality. The dried broad bean is the secret ingredient of many traditional recipes and can be cooked in different ways according to personal taste.
The broad beans can be roasted, shelled, or cooked and they always preserve their nutritional properties, especially the Modica Cottoia Fava bean, a low-calorie product, which gives the body plenty of energy thanks to its protein and mineral salts.
The correct way to use it is to soak it in water (even flavoured water) for several hours, preferably overnight. After that, the beans can be cooked and combined as desired for the tastiest dishes.
