Caper salt – From Pantelleria, artisanal
The Capers salt is a product derived from the processing of Pantelleria capers; indeed, the capers,
which release water during the maturation process, are absorbed by the salt used. At the end of
fermentation, the capers are separated from the salt to be sold separately. The result is a naturally
flavoured seasoning that adds character and freshness to your dishes.
On soups, sauces, cereal, and legumes salads, meat, and fish, you choose what you want to give
the Sicilian touch!
Antonio Bonomo and Girolamo Giglio set up their Caper Production farm in Pantelleria as far back as 1949. The company La Nicchia, is specialised in the production and marketing of capers and caper products.
Along with the Farm, the Caper Processing Plant, and the Specialty Food Laboratory, the company has been producing its Pantellerian specialities with simplicity and genuineness for over sixty years, handing down the love for the land and the pleasure for good food from generation to generation.
