Ruby red wine much appreciated from the vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon. With an important aroma, with hints of liquorice, black cherries, cocoa and spices, it presents itself on the palate with an enveloping and ample, soft and persistent, structured and pleasant.
To be served at a temperature of about 18 degrees, accompanying second courses of meat. It can also be used as a wine for the whole meal, therefore also supporting pasta dishes with meat sauce and meat, and therefore supporting the main course, roast or stewed meats, and aged cheeses.

Tancredi Donnafugata is a full-bodied, well-structured red wine, characterized by the note of red fruits and delicate references to licorice and tobacco. A wine with an enveloping bouquet, capable of representing a real valuable element of the well – known Sicilian winery, which in Tancredi is one of its points of maximum distinction.
The grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon, Nero d’Avola and Tannat) are handpicked in boxes, with careful selection of the best bunches located in vineyards and an altitude between 200 and 600 meters above sea level, on rich soils of minerals.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers, with maceration on the skins for 14 days temperature of 28-30 degrees. So, initially the liquid is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, then in bottle for at least 20 months. A slow process, carefully managed by the Sicilian winery, in order to obtain a bottle that can be easily combined with a rich series of dishes, mainly based of meat.
Once the bottle is opened and the wine poured into the glass, the Tancredi Donnafugata will show all its beauty with a very deep ruby color. Aromas of ripe fruit will come to the nose, such as plum and cherry, with the already mentioned hints of licorice, tobacco and some variants of chocolate. On the palate the wine appears soft, warm and enveloping.
Ideal pairings with main meat dishes, such as beef fillet with porcini mushrooms, the beef burger, the pork shoulder, the veal rolls.
