Camelot – French elegance in Sicilian territory

Camelot by Firriato is a wine that expresses a complex elegance, with a bouquet that travels between notes of raspberries, cherries, blueberries, and hints of cinnamon, eucalyptus, cocoa, and mint. The sip is full-bodied, intense, and rich, thanks to 9 months of aging in barrique. The result is a harmonious and seductive wine, in which fruits, spices, and balsamic notes blend with the warm and sunny tones typical of Sicilian wines. In addition, its characteristics make it a perfect representative of the Trapani terroir, expressing a taste and aromatic balance, which marries well with the fine and evolved tannic texture.

Firriato

Firriato is one of the most important realities of Sicilian wine and has significantly contributed to the rebirth and relaunch of the island’s viticulture. Born in the ’80s by the initiative of the Di Gaetano family, Firriato owns several estates in various areas of Sicily: in Trapani, in Favignana, and on Etna. These variety of soils allow Firriato to produce a wide range of excellent quality wines, enhancing native and international varieties adapted to the Mediterranean climate. The estates stand out for the quality of the soils, the perfect insolation, and the climate mitigated by sea breezes.

The 12-month aging in French oak barriques gives Camelot extraordinary aromatic and taste elegance. The clay-limestone soil, the southeast exposure, and the altitude of 235 meters above sea level are ideal conditions for the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The balance between sugar and phenolic maturation makes this wine unique in its kind.

Firriato is a true testament to the excellence of Italian wine, capable of offering high-quality products thanks to its careful and meticulous care of the vineyards and its passion for winemaking.
