IGP Unique salt – Trapani’s authentic sea salt, hand-picked in the Nature Reserve

Unique salt is a fine whole sea salt, produced in Sicily in the Trapani salt pans of Ettore and Infersa, an area protected as a Protected Nature Reserve. Harvesting, which is rigorously carried out by hand by local salt miners according to ancient methods handed down from generation to generation, allows all the precious trace elements naturally present in the salt, such as magnesium, fluoride, potassium and iodine, to be fully preserved. This traditional process gives Unique Salt an extraordinary savouriness, making it perfectly soluble and versatile for every culinary need. Its coarse grain size makes it particularly suitable for long cooking times, gourmet preparations and freshly ground, bringing out the natural flavour of dishes to the full.

Sosalt

Sosalt is a historic company from Trapani specialising in the production and processing of sea salt. Located in one of the most uncontaminated areas of western Sicily, Sosalt has always been committed to the protection and enhancement of the Trapani-Paceco Salt Pans Nature Reserve, skilfully combining age-old traditions and sustainable production techniques. The salt harvesting method involves careful manual work by salt workers, who gently crush and shape the salt crust, preserving its purity and quality.
